My late wife, Alex, was an artist who did wonderful pet portraits - see Felix the Cat here on the site and cartoons. She had a weight problem that she fought throughout her life, until her passing in 1994 due to MS. One of the ways she found to cope with, deal with that difficult facet of her own life was to have fun with her cartoons depicting the plight of being a "big girl"! This is one of my favorite of all of her cartoons along those lines. I hope you get a good laugh out it because THAT was the single and only motivation that brought it into being. Alex didn't have a mean bone in her body and would never try to make fun of anyone - but she did see humor in many things! It's important we be able to laugh at ourselves.
